Job description: IR Technician
Colbert Infrared Services, Inc., a full-service Infrared Inspection Company is seeking resumes for an IR Technician in the Seattle, WA area. IR Technician candidates will have three months on-the-job training and are expected to qualify as Level I Certified Thermographer within six months of initial employment.
As a Level I Certified Thermographer you will be assigned to a variety of inspection sites to observe energized electrical equipment using a state-of-the art infrared camera. You will be required to enter data into the Thermal Trend database using a data collection device (such as a Surface Pro 4 tablet). You will be the Company’s representative to the client’s engineering staff and expected to present a professional appearance, maintain high standards of personal hygiene, and communicate with the client in a professional and friendly manner. At the end of each day, and upon completion of a multi-day inspection, you will be required to prepare an interim and then final digital report in .pdf format to deliver electronically to the client. Other types of inspections will be performed on top of flat roofs to observe roof moisture problems, and occasionally you will be expected to perform building envelope studies to observe and document heat loss.
The inspection sites will be in a variety of environments such as paper mills, outdoor utility transmission lines, dams, retail stores, large high-end hotels, aboard cruise, and cargo ships, and in office buildings.
May be required to work holidays and weekends.
